Domestic Policy - Critical Minerals/Battery Metals Push

Battery Metals

Minerals that are used in rechargeable batteries.  They include lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite, manganese, alumina, tin, tantalum, magnesium, and vanadium.

The WRHNP Mineral Estate has known occurrences of Copper and Cobalt and has the potential for other Battery Metals.

Critical Minerals

The list of critical minerals will be the focus of the United States Geologic Survey research quantifying critical mineral potential within the US.  In President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the USGS received funding for its Earth Mapping Resource Initiative.  It will update the Nation's mapping of these minerals, including those still in the ground and those in mine wastes.

The Energy Act of 2020 directed the USGS to update the list of Critical Minerals, and the list is timely to guide for using the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funds, both for the USGS and other agencies.

A Critical Mineral is defined as:

Any non-fuel mineral, element, substance, or material that the Secretary of Energy determines has a high risk for supply chain disruption is essential in one or more energy technologies, including technologies that produce, transmit, store, and conserve energy.

The WRHNP Mineral Estate has known occurrences of Barite, Copper, Cobalt, and Zinc and has the potential for other Critical Minerals.

Domestic Policy - Inflation Reduction Act of 2022

The Inflation Reduction Act gives tax credits and subsidies to companies that explore for and produce domestic Critical Minerals and Battery Metals to loosen the grip of foreign supply chains and unfriendly jurisdiction production.

Domestic production of Battery Metals and Critical Minerals could be a huge opportunity.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is currently deployed on WRHNP's vast proprietary digital database to identify and locate mineral deposits.  Targets have been identified using newly developed exploration data and refining knowledge in the extensive historical database.
